Contest!

I've been thinking for a while on how we can get more folks over here and start to really build the community. This is where you guy come in! I thought I'd have a little contest and give something away to the person who spreads the blog URL to the most places. To enter the contest, just email me with a list of places online you've mentioned and link the blog. Please include in your email a link to those places so I can check them out for myself. The person who spreads the blog to the most places will win Lee Ann's laminate from the 2005 CMT Music Awards that she's autographed.

Contest ends Monday night (or Tuesday morning if that's how you look at it!) at midnight, central time. Good luck to everyone, and spread the good word!

I'm sorry, but speaking for everyone here let me just say that we're not some Pavlovian street vendor's monkey going around doing our thing to the music.

More activity here might result if we could start topics? Just trying to be helpful. ;-)

(psssst, I'll get on the passing of the link toute suite, but don't tell anyone so I can win!lol)

Did I offend? Sorry if I did! I'm just trying to make things fun for everyone. Although I have to say the visual of a Pavlovian street vendor's monkey is quite good!

:)

Too bad I didn't get a response on the last entry of my question... but I did look it up myself anyways, she is coming to Cheyenne :).

I might try out the contest, not sure if I will :P. Good luck to everyone!

C'mon, CF, you GOTTA participate. I didn't put it on your forums so you could. ;-)

Glad she's coming to Cheyenne. I used to march against the Troopers out there and really enjoyed their show, especially the authentic uniforms. Not sure if you know them or not.

Chris, your observation on Miranda Lambert got me to thinking. There are so many new acts out there that the competition must just be fierce. I guess thinking about that gives me a whole lot more appreciation for just how well Lee Ann has done with her new album. She has outperformed (measured by sales) just about everyone I can think of: Jamie O'Neal, Deana Carter, Trace Atkins, etc.) even though the rankings didn't reflect it very well due to timing issues. I think her differentiation strategy in pursuing a certain niche is probably working pretty successfully.

I mean just think of all the new talent out there, and remember that no one's been retiring, per se. It's not really a zero sum game at all, even though the numbers are growing some. They don't seem to be growing fast enough to accomodate everyone, though. The pie slicing is getting more tricky by the minute, or so it seems. Do my ramblings make any sense???

BTW, Chris, on getting Alison to respond. It seems she's challenging us to find more and more obscure psychological references to spur a response. I'll be she's a fan of Dennis Miller. ;-)

Sorry for my lack of responses folks! Especially you CF. I don't mean to ignore, it was just a SUPER busy day yesterday. I won't forget about you guys though!

CF, as far as the Cheyenne dates go, that list was lifted directly from an IM with LAW's management, so I'm assuming that everything there is correct. Never say never though, changes always seem to happen.

Thanks for being such good sports everyone. I'm really enjoying doing this blog, you guys make it worthwhile. Now we just need to get more folks over here to share our fun!

Chris, There's a Picture of you I'm having being Stubborn. It's like you're Waiting For The Sun To Shine, or something. Do I have to tell you What I Miss About Heaven? It's not Painless, don'tcha know. Tell ya what, just call When You Get To Me, co we can talk about Hapiness. I'm sure it wasn't Twenty years and Two Husbands Ago (sorry, lol) that you experienced it last, so just tell your good buddy because He Oughta Know By Now anyway. Afterall, the Last Time you did that you know what happened. As I recall, you said that "I May Hate Myself In The Morning," did you not? I know you want to be alone again but don't give me any of that One's A Couple excuse because you know what I'll say! Yep, There's More Where That Came From. ;-)

steve, I will participate but I've posted so many times about LAW on other message boards previously (not in a spamful way though) but I'm sure they're tired of it lol. I'll be happy for whoever wins though, my main goal is to get an autographed vinyl :D.

Alison, thanks for answering, I wasn't sure lol :P. Well, hopefully she comes to Cheyenne, I hope to join the FC by then :D.

aw, thanks Chris E. for the comment, I work hard on it :). Yeah, I will for sure, I didn't know that was your username! :o.
