Local Countdown

Howdy from Nashville. Man, is it a yucky day. 50ish degrees and been raining since I woke up. I'm in the process of trying to clean off my desk which looks like a paper mill exploded over the top of it and the only thing that is saving me from the rainy weather doledrums is listening to a band called The Rapture. They are a great, wacky rock band from NYC. One guy's sole job in the band is playing cowbell. In different keys. Pretty funny!

Wabash over at Lee Ann's message board posted a link to vote for Lee Ann on KZLA's (Los Angeles) "Magnificent 7 at 7". Go here to cast your vote! Let's get Lee Ann all the way to number 1!

A Land Down Under

We have some very talented people lurking about here!!! I opened the ol' trusty mailbag the other day to find a great letter from a Lee Ann fan in Australia. Matt has made his own promotional shirt for "There's More Where That Came From" and wanted to share it with everybody....


Isn't that great?! I emailed Matt to see if he wouldn't mind sharing his great shirt technique with the rest of us and he kindly obliged. Just purchase some ink jet printer iron on paper such as this, print out the graphic of your choice, iron it on a blank t-shirt and voila! Your very
own "There's More Where That Came From" shirt! You can create any sort of graphic you like (including one for "I May Hate Myself In the Morning"), but Matt was kind enough to share his graphic with all of us....(click on the image for the full resolution)

Turkey! Turkey! Turkey!

I don't know about you guys, but I'm really looking forward to Thanksgiving. I actually have to get into the kitchen as soon as I'm done writing this. I'm in charge of the stuffing this year. That's a big responsibility! Stuffing can make or break the entire meal. I'll let you know how it works out though.

Big news in the LAW world! We just got back from Dallas yesterday where Lee Ann was shooting her new video for "I May Hate Myself In the Morning"! I don't want to give anything away, but I know you guys are going to be totally amazed. I know I was! I was on the set all day and shot a ton of video, so be on the lookout for that soon on Lee Ann's official site. Whenever we get word on a release date for the video I'll let everyone know. It was shot so beautifully, I can't wait to see the final edit!

Is This Thing On?

Hello Everyone! I'm Alison, and welcome to the official Lee Ann Womack blog! Some of you might know me already for I am the president of Lee Ann's fanclub. For those of you who don't know me....well...I guess I just told you who I am. I wanted to create a blog for myself to maybe connect us all a little better. I ran the idea by Lee Ann and she gave a resounding "Absolutely!" (little do people know, you would be hard pressed to part Lee Ann from her computer! She's quite savvy in that sense). So here we are. Don't think of this as a replacement for the official site, just maybe the kid sister who nags you all the time but who you secretly love. I'll try and keep this up to date with news and other fun things. 2 *super* cool things we'll be able to do though. One is, I just got Lee Ann a camera phone, which I can now link up to this page and she can send cool pictures from time to time from the road. That is going to be really cool to see what she can come up with. Two, we'll be able to audio post as well! So you could come here some day, and there could be an audio message from Lee Ann for all of you. Fun stuff!

We made it through CMA week, which now that the CMA's are on Tuesday (who's idea was that anyway?!) it is more like "CMA 36 Hours". I went out on the town Monday night sporting this....

It was a huge hit and stirred up a lot of talk. If you go out a lot to clubs or concerts, we'd love for you to spread the LAW love with your own t-shirt. If you do, take pictures and write to us and let us know how it went! For everyone that does, I might just have something special for you...

Well, this post ended up a little longer than it should have, but hey, you guys are ok with that right? If everyone can be good, I think I'll turn the comments on, so everyone can not only talk to me, but talk to everyone. Please try and be nice, we want to keep this positive.
