Are You Tired?

I am. I feel like this has been one of the longest weeks on record. A good friend of mine had a baby on Tuesday and I've been working all week on a special project that I should be dropping any day now. Something to help you guys out a little bit in your quest to request He Oughta Know That By Now to your local radio stations. I'll keep you posted on that. In the meantime, I need to sleep. Have a good weekend everyone!

Tennessee River

Thanks to a link on the LeeAnnWomack.com message boards, I've been digging up some links for radio stations in Tennessee. Hopefully we can do this for all 50 states and have a comprehensive database of all the places for you to request He Oughta Know That By Now

WIVK, Knoxville: Email Alison of the morning show.
WGKX, Memphis: Rate the song, Music advisory
WSIX, Nashville: Lunchtime requests
WKDF, Nashville: Email Becca, middays.
WSM, Nashville: Take the music test, make a request

Phew! More in a bit....

151 Flavors

So here's the deal....something happened to my inbox over the last 5 days, and now I have 151 emails. I was super busy with a radio project last week, and didn't really get around to answering any email. So if I owe you email....I promise to get to it today! That is if another project doesn't come up.... ;)

You guys are working so hard on requesting the song around the country, and I do really appreciate it, and I know LAW does too. I'm going to try and have her leave a message on here in the next few days. Stay tuned!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day everyone!

It's just past 12 and I'm still lounging around in my jammies, but I wanted to stop in for a second to talk about local internet countdowns. Does your local radio station have an internet countdown? Well if so, please post a link to it here so that we can all come together and vote for "He Oughta Know That By Now" all across the country. If your station does happen to have an internet countdown, would you post the link here? If you don't know if they have one or not, would you mind taking a second to look? If we all come together and get behind this song, we'll get it to number 1 in no time!

A big happy father's day to Steve and all the other dads out there. Make sure you call your dad and give him some love on this day that they deserve.

A Rock And A Hard Place

The LAW's show at the Hard Rock Cafe here in Nashville last night was absolutely fantastic. I think it was the best I have ever heard her sound, and the crowd just ate it up. The *entire* room got into I May Hate Myself In the Morning and even finished a chorus or two. It was so fantastic I got the chills!

Thanks to Dustin's roommate for submitting this photo. I myself snapped about 180 photos, but only about 5 of them came out, for the stage was only lit in red and didn't photograph well at all. Thanks also to everyone who came out to the show...you guys made it an incredible night! How much do I love my job?!!

All Or Nothing

I know you guys are clamoring for a post from me, but there's realy nothing new to report. We've all be super busy this week working on the single trying to get it moving up the charts. If anyone has any cool request ideas (and that goes beyond the 3 womackateers!), please leave a comment and tell the world. We need to get radio excited about what is easily the best song on the charts right now.

LAW is playing a listener appreciation show for WSM FM tonight at the Hard Rock Cafe here in Nashvegas. If you are in town, come on out. I hope to get a few shots of the event, so I'll post one or two tomorrow when I can.

Thanks again for all the hard work everyone. You know we really appreciate it!

The Best Ice Cream In the Country

Be sure to check out this article in today's Tennessean with a quote from LAW. For those of you who have never had Blue Bell ice cream, do try and track some down the next time you are in the south. Best. Ice cream. EVER.

I'm coming down from going to Bonnaroo yesterday, so that's all for now. Hope everyone made it home safely from fan fair and that life is getting back to normal.

Drats!

I was expecting to make my radio debut yesterday, but XM gave me the ol' chop! :) That was really cool to hear though, especially knowing that those who couldn't be there with us could share in on the fun. As soon as I receive the schedule for the reairings of the show, I will be sure to let you guys know. Thanks again to everyone who came out to the party. Receiving flowers was a total surprise, and I meant to get on the mic and thank all of you for being so awesome, but I've got bad stage fright! I do really have the most awesome job in the world and I thank all of you fan club members for being so great and for making it all worthwhile.

My roomie Shane (for those of you at the party, Shane was the one handing out the gift bags) and I got tickets from MCA for today's Fan Fair, so we're just gonna go check it out, talk to some folks down there, maybe do a little impromptu market research (Shane works for an artist management firm here in town) and have a taste of Fan Fair from the fans perspective. That is if it quits raining. In the meantime, we're gonna hit Pancake Pantry. Steve Martin sent me a few photos from Thursday, so I'll attach below. Enjoy the rest of the weekend everyone!

2 Quick Things

1) Be sure to check out CMT.com's coverage of yesterday's fan club party. I spoke with the reporter there who was very gracious and got some great shots of the event.

2) The XM spot is on in 20 minutes, but will be replaying in the future. If you aren't able to catch the first airing, check back here for later airdates.

Blogger Meetup

Would anyone be interested in having a blogger meetup (with yours truly) while you are in town for fan fair? Let me know.

Update: Dustin and Chris are putting something together for a Wednesday night dinner. It is going to be a focus group kind of atmophere....we'll be talking "business"! :) Let one of those guys know if you are wanting to come.

Update 2: I won't be able to make it to the meetup (have a friend coming in for Bonaroo earlier than expected) but I'll still help everyone get together that would like to.

3, 2, 1....

So just 3 days til the pary eh? I haven't been sleeping much lately...very nervous about making sure everything goes off without a hitch and that everyone has the best possible time. I've thrown larger parties before (I had to help do a party for 600 once, and spent the entire 5 hour party on the verge of vomiting!), but you guys are a very special bunch and I want to make sure you have the time of your lives.

I've got some very cool news though for those of you who want to join us but can't. XM Radio will be at the party, recording it to be played on the air on Friday, June 10 at 2pm ET/1 CT on XM channel 16. How cool is that? For those of you who aren't XM subscribers, you can get a 3 day trial free so that you can stream the party right on your comptuer (audio only). Here's to hoping the XM gusy edit out my voice before they broadcast!

Funny How Time Slips Away

You want to hear a funny story? I'm sick. Wait! That's not funny! Well, I am sick AND I have a funny story. But before we get to my totally amusing story, does anyone have any good cold remedies? And is it feed a cold or starve a cold? I always forget those little sayings. Right now my cold is saying it wants chocolate. I'll have to check on that, stat.

So on with the funny story! I had Lee Ann's manager put aside a few copies of the vinyl record for me to give away and Courtney beat me to the office to pick up things. There was a post-it note on the top that said "For Alison". Courtney thought that was odd, but went ahead and had Lee Ann sign them....and the top one says "To Alison Love, Lee Ann Womack". When I got it, we all had a good laugh about it. So now I guess I have my own copy of the vinyl! What should I do with it? I think I should be nice and give it away to someone else named Alison (and that's Alison with one L!!). Do you know anyone who fits that description?
