Stuck!

Well, I'm *sorta* on my way to Atlantic City to see Lee Ann tomorrow night. Some bad storms swept through here this afternoon and pushed everything back, causing me to miss my connecting flight in Raleigh. Now I'm just hanging out in the Nashville airport, using their way too expensive wireless internet, waiting for my alternate flight to leave. I'm taking my parents to the show tomorrow which should be fun. And one of my Dad's clients. I haven't taken my parents to a show in years and I think they are really looking forward to it. Last time I saw them, I caught my Mom listening to her iPod, singing something off of Some Things I Know.....loudly. She enjoys the LAW a bunch, and I'm glad I can take them to a show. It'll give me a chance to hang out with Courtney during the show since today is her birthday. If anyone wants to send her birthday greetings, you can do so over at the official message boards.

I'll *try* and blog a picture from the show, but my camera phone doesn't do well in bright lights. Maybe something during the meet and greet, which might consist of my Mom belting out "I Keep Forgetting" to LAW. Can I hide now?

2005 Fan Club Party

I'm happy to announce that will will be having a fan club party this year! This year's party will be held at the historic Belcourt Theater in Hillsboro Village on Thursday, June 9 at 10am. Most of you might be familiar with Hillsboro Village not for the Belcourt, but for Pancake Pantry which sits across the street from the Belcourt. The Belcourt Theater is an amazing building. I myself actually go to quite a few movies and concerts there. A little known fact about the Belcourt...it was one of the first homes to the Grand Ole Opry from 1934-1936. Since the Belcourt is a movie house, we’re going to do this movie style! We’ll be serving movie snacks, sodas, and a movie reel featuring Lee Ann's videos and some behind the scenes moments. Lee Ann will take questions, do some acoustic songs as well as sign and take pictures with everyone. Cost this year will be $12 for members and $15 for non members (guests of members). If you would like to attend the party, please indicate how many members and non members will be attending, a check payable to "LAWFC" for the proper amount and a self addressed stamped envelope so that further information can be sent to you. Attendance this year will be limited to the first 200 applications I receive, so be sure to get them in ASAP. Please send them to:

I've been thinking for a while on how we can get more folks over here and start to really build the community. This is where you guy come in! Play Ball!

Part of the "blogosphere" is about creating a community based on like minded folk. Now, you guys are all here because you love Lee Ann. But what else makes you tick? In an effort to really make our little corner of the web a friendly place to be, leave a comment and tell folks a little about yourself. You never know what could happen....you could find you share something in common (besides the LAW!) with someone else and make a new friend! Maybe even someone in your area, someone to go to LAW shows with, etc.

I'll get the ball rolling. What makes me tick....well this time of year, my life revolves around two things....work and baseball. I'm a *diehard* Houston Astros fan. So the new season is dominating my life at the moment. That and music by a band called the French Kicks. Love them.

Big Throwdown II

This summer, Lee Ann will be joining Toby Keith's tour Big Throwdown II for dates throughout the US. Also joining Toby and Lee Ann on the tour is Shooter Jennings, son of Waylon Jennings. A few dates have been announced and tickets for select shows are available in the tour section of LeeAnnWomack.com, with more to come soon. The tour kicks off June 10 in Charlotte, North Carolina and will run through the end of August. Stay tuned to LeeAnnWomack.com for more updates and added tour dates.

Fast And Furious

The first 3 shows of the tour are now under our belts. I talked to Lee Ann on Saturday (and by "talked" I mean via IM. High tech!!) and she said the shows were going really well, as were the after show meet and greets. From what I hear, we signed up 85 new fan club members at the shows over the weekend, 50 in Florida alone. That's fantastic! For those of you who are coming to shows and aren't fan club members at the moment, if time permits and we are allowed to do the after show meet and greets, you can sign up at the show and then meet Lee Ann backstage after the show. Pretty cool eh?

Where are we this week....Mt. Pleasant, Michigan; Joliet, Illinois; Evansville, Indiana and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. If you are going to be at any of those shows, we look forward to seeing you! If you were at any of the shows this past weekend, be sure to comment and let everyone know how the show was. I myself haven't seen the new show yet, but am planning on flying up to the Atlantic City show to take my parents and a few of their guests to the show. I can't wait to see the new songs live, I bet they sound great!

I just had a cavity filled this morning, so my mouth is half numb. Crazy how that feels!
