I just received some great news today. Lee Ann's next single will be "He Oughta Know By Now"! The single will be going to radio on April 11. I know you guys worked your heart out on "I May Hate Myself In the Morning" and we so appreciate it, but now it's time to switch gears and start requesting the new song. What do you guys think of "He Oughta Know By Now"? Like it? Think it will go #1?

This must be the week for blogging about other artists! Sorry for that, but I just had to jump on here and give a *huge* recommendation for Miranda Lambert's new album called Kerosene. I got a copy of it yesterday and can't shut it off. There is a LAW connection here though....Lee Ann's husband Frank produced the album. Frank is a really amazing producer and has done some of my favorite records.

If you get a chance, do pick up Miranda's new album. She wrote every song on the record and it is just fantastic!

Hometown Waltz

Back to Monday again. I hope everyone had a good weekend! I spent my weekend painting my new digs. I'll be moving over the next week into a new house on the east side of Nashville and I'm very excited about that. I've been finding paint in some strange places though...

I can't remember if I wrote about it or not, but Lee Ann has a celebrity playlist on iTunes! If you are an iTunes user, be sure to check that out. That first song on there is really amazing. Can't beat a heartbreaking George Jones song! Lee Ann and I like to swap music back and forth from time to time. I actually owe her a huge amount of gratitude for turning me onto Rufus Wainwright. She came into the office one day, handed me one of his records and made me listen. He's made some of the most beautiful albums of the last few years. Poses and Want One are *amazing* albums. Check them out if you can! There's a song on Poses called "The Consort" which is so devastatingly beautiful. But not to turn this into the Rufus Wainwright blog.... :) LAW does have some great songs on her playlist so be sure to check that out.

Lee Ann will be playing at this year's CMA Music Festival! She'll be on the Thursday night show, and I'll pass along more info as I get it. Hopefully we'll have a dry night this time around, instead of the massive storm that hit last year. Since spring has officially begun, I'm preparing for what is usually a very stormy time around here. Fingers crossed that doesn't spill over to summer!!!

Slow Times

I know some of you have mentioned the speed of things around here and I wanted to address that. I use the web publishing tool called Blogger, and Blogger is owned by Google (I was actually using Blogger back in the day when it wasn't!). I read *A LOT* of blogs and other content based websites everyday, 97 to be exact, and Blogger Buzz is one of them. They mention that the speed issues related to Blogger in the past week have to do with not server space but actual electricity. Isn't that crazy? They're now trying to remedy the issue by adding more power to the building where the Blogger servers are housed. So things should be zipping along in no time.

We've had a slow week around here, but it has enabled me to get things done that I haven't been able to do in weeks, such as make fan club kits and finally get to all of those meet and greet requests. If you are a fan club member and going to see Lee Ann sometime this spring or summer, be sure to let me know so I can get you on the list for the show you'll be attending. If you aren't a fan club member, or will be with someone at the show who might want to join, I think we are going to be able to do our after show meet and greets for people who join the fan club at the shows. I'll get back to you on that if we are able to do it this go round.

Good news just came through via the fax machine. I May Hate Myself In the Morning is now top ten! Thanks to all of you out there who have been requesting the heck out of the song...it has paid off. Now, our new quest is to get the song all the way to the top! If you have been requesting the song, please keep doing so. Maybe even recruit a friend or two that you know who likes the LAW to help us out.
